Women for Climate Justice Leading Solutions on the Frontlines of the Climate Crisis

Belém, Brazil —  On Monday, November 17, women leaders from around the world will offer climate justice strategies and solutions to support a fossil fuel phaseout and accelerate a Just Transition during a formal UN side event organized by the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) at COP30 in Belém, Brazil.


Grounded in a rights-based framework, topics will include forest protection and restoration, feminist climate finance, Indigenous rights, Rights of Nature, women land defenders, campaigns to hold governments accountable, and vital updates on the COP30 negotiations.
