Women leaders from the Americas presenting strategies and solutions

For immediate release – Join the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) during the UNFCCC COP30 in Belem, Brazil, from November 10-21.  A Frontline and Indigenous Women’s WECAN Delegation will be demanding world governments take bold and transformative action for climate justice, forest protection, and a Just Transition. WECAN will be presenting policy interventions, on-the-ground climate justice projects, reports, and systemic change frameworks. Topics will include Just Transition, the Gender Action Plan and gender-responsive policies, Indigenous rights and knowledge, forest and biodiversity protection, Rights of Nature, fossil fuel phaseout, climate finance,  root causes and false solutions, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and community-led sustainable solutions for systemic change.
