Global Grassroots, Indigenous and Frontline Women Leaders Speak Out for Climate Justice at COP26

GLASGOW, Scotland (November 6, 2021) – On November 8, grassroots, frontline and Indigenous women leaders, alongside representatives from international climate justice organizations, will speak out and present struggles and solutions for climate justice at two upcoming events organized by the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 26th session of the Conference of Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland.


Amongst various topics, speakers will address root causes of interlocking crises and the need for solutions based in a climate justice framework, forest and biodiversity protection, Indigenous rights, agro-ecology, fossil fuel resistance, protection of women land defenders, and community-led solutions.
