Women’s Delegation to COP29: Advocacy and Events for Climate Justice
Advocacy and Events at COP29 with global women leaders from Brazil and the U.S. presenting strategies, solutions, and calls to action for climate justice and a Just Transition

For immediate release – Join the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) during the UNFCCC COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11 - 22. WECAN will be advocating with a Frontline and Indigenous Women’s Delegation to demand world governments take bold and transformative action for climate justice and climate finance. WECAN will be presenting policy interventions, on the ground climate justice projects, reports, and systemic change frameworks. Topics will include climate finance and the NCQG, Just Transition, fossil fuel phaseout, gender-responsive policies, Indigenous rights and knowledge, net-zero analysis, root causes and false solutions, rights of nature and biodiversity protection, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and community-led sustainable solutions for systemic change.
